Trend Respiratory Mask filters are efficient to above 95% against particles of 0.3 micron size. The filters in Europe are tested against a mixture of particle size (they are not mono-dispersed) according to EN143:1990. The particle size distribution graph in EN143 which the Airshield is tested shows that 90% of the particles are 0.2 micron or smaller and 70% of the particles are 0.1 and smaller. The Airshield filter is therefore very efficient. With respect to particulate size the filter will filter down to below 0.03 microns.
