KWJ950/PRO - 950mm Professional Multi-Material Worktop Jig
A universal worktop jig for routing mitre joints in laminated, timber and compact laminate surfaces. Features 3mm, 10mm and 35mm inset options, and innovative front edge alignment technology for scribed, out-of-square and non-standard worktops.
- Front Edge Alignment Technology* accurately positions the jig directly to the start of the mitre joint to accommodate any worktop width.
- Narrow Inset T-Gauges create 3mm and 10mm insets quickly and easily. Perfect for square-edged and modern bullnose worktops; narrow insets give a cleaner aesthetic, prevent cutter wear, and improve cordless router runtime.
- Male Cut-Line Positioning Devices* allow the jig to be positioned directly to the male cut line and remove the need for complex length, angle and offset calculations. Ideal for trapped and out-of-square installations.
- Preset Connector Bolt Recesses accommodate all standard worktop bolt sizes, including Zipbolt and Unika ‘Slimline’ connection bolts.
- Indexed Backsets for 600, 610, 616, 620, 635, 700, 900 and 950mm worktops for standard 90º installations.
- 400mm Radius for breakfast bar and peninsula trimming.
- R100mm, R40mm and 45° Corners for edge finishing.
- 90° Straight Cuts for accurate skimming and trimming.
- 35mm Hinge / ¾” BSP Recess for surface-mount monobloc tap and concealed hinge installation.
- CNC-Machined Compact Grade HPL provides precision, strength and durability
- 8mm Radius Gauge ensures worktops are suitable for a 10mm narrow inset.
- 8.65mm Marking Gauge helps to perfectly position the jig for peninsula, radius and 45° corner finishing.

Features

Front Edge Alignment Technology* replaces traditional setup pins and accurately positions the jig directly to the start of the female mitre joint, for unrestricted worktop widths. Designed for scribed, out-of-square, and non-standard installations.

Narrow Inset System combines our Front Edge Alignment Technology* and inset gauges* to easily, quickly and accurately create 3mm and 10mm insets. Perfect for square-edged and modern bullnose worktops. Narrow insets give a cleaner aesthetic, prevent cutter wear, and cordless router battery drain.

Male Cut-Line Positioning Devices* account for the 8.65mm cutter-to-guide bush offset and position the jig directly to the male cut line, giving highly accurate results for trapped and out-of-square installations.

Indexed Backsets for 600, 610, 616, 620, 635, and 700mm (900 & 950mm for 950 jig) wide worktops allow the female joint to be set up quickly.Indexed Backsets for 600, 610, 616, 620, 635, and 700mm wide worktops allow the female joint to be setup quickly.

Product Questions
The worktop jigs are designed to work with a GB30A guide bush and A 12.7mm cutter the male and female curves on the jig are matched with 12.7mm cutters if you use a 12mm cuter the radiuses will not come together properly.
No, the correct combination of 12.7mm diameter cutter and 30mm Guide bush has to be used as the offset needed between cutter and guide bush is 8.7mm, any other combination will result in a poor joint.
A butt and scribe joint is the joint formed using the Trend Worktop Jigs.
On all operations never come through the postformed edge as this will fracture the laminate, alternatively a blunt cutter will not cut effectively and can also cause chipping.
Some of the cheaper worktops bow or cup very easily, check before purchasing, biscuit jointing may help to line it up, and fix securely down to kitchen units.
A masons mitre joint is the joint that is formed using the Trend worktop jigs.
The guide bush should be 30mm outside diameter.
This is correct. The cutter will always climb to the correct side of the slot depending on the cut operation being done.
There are a selection of cutters that are suitable: 3/83X1/2TC, 3/83DX1/2TC, 3/85X1/2TC, 3/83MX1/2TC, RT/11X1/2TC & RT/11MX1/2TC.
Ensure that you are using the correct guide bush 30mm and that the line up bushes are against the postformed edge. Also check that the cutter and guide bush are concentric to each other. If they are not we recommend the UNIBASE.
Ensure that the length stop is in the correct position, remember you can always measure to check the correct location.
